The third Sunday of July a bridge made of boats is built in front
of the Giudecca Church Late in the evening in the St Mark's basin
and the Giudecca channel the Venetians, while standing in boats
of any type, enjoy the fireworks which take place above the lagoon. |

The first Sunday of September in the city there is the most important
boat-race of the year. The boat used once by the Doge during public
ceremonies. Thousand of boats parade along the Grand Canal. |
